A website is a fantastic tool to build your business!
The instructions below do not require any knowledge of how to code, however you may wish to have your web developer take care of it for you.
If you don’t already have a web developer we recommend using upwork.com to find a contractor that is a good fit for you and your business.
Example: http://universityofbusinesscredit.com
The website is built to hook into a marketing automation platform. You may use your own, however you can upgrade to our Done For You platform, where we will take care of setting up your site, and then integrating your site into a Marketing Automation platform.

INSTALLING THE SITE TEMPLATESetting up the site should be straightforward, however please note that not all webhosts are created equal.
We recommend the Deluxe dedicated WordPress hosting from GoDaddy:
https://www.godaddy.com/offers/wordpress-hosting
Deluxe hosting provides a staging server and automated backups — two must haves for a business website.
WP Engine and Flywheel are also good options.
Your server will need to have WordPress installed in order to use the site, which is again why we recommend a “Dedicated WordPress Host” product, as these should come with WordPress already installed and ready to go.
Once you have a login to your site – it should be something like:
https://universityofbusinesscredit.com/login
* Note that the URL does not contain wordpress.com – but the login page does show the WordPress logo. This is known as “self hosting” your own WordPress based site.
Your webhost should supply you with a Username/Password to login.
Once logged in, navigate to the Plugins page, then search for, and then install and Activate the All In One WP Migration (creator is Servmask).
Now you are ready to click the Download Site Template button on this page. Please note, it’s a fairly large file at 400 ( that’s almost 1/2 of a gigabyte) so be sure your computer has enough room to download it.
Once you have downloaded the file, you can go to the All In One WP Migration page, and you can import the creditsuitevipsite.wpress file ( choose import from File).
IMPORTANT:
Importing this file will completely erase your existing site!! There is no Undo.. so be sure you are only using this on a site that is a fresh install, or that you are OK to get rid of your existing site. Or be sure your existing site has been backed up!!
Once you have imported the site, you will have a new user name and password (because the entire site is erased/replaced).
Your new username is:
uadmin
Your new password is:
CreditSuiteVIP
Please change your password after logging in! Otherwise everyone else who has seen this page, already knows your password!

CUSTOMIZING YOUR SITE
Now that your site is installed, it is time to customize it!
The first thing you need to do, is to change the logo, and phone number at the top of the site.
To do this, logged into your site, at the bottom left of the site admin links, you will see the “Thrive Dashboard” link.
Click this link, then click on “Theme Options.”
From here, you can change your site logo, and the “Contact Us” number and link.
The rest of the pages are edited by going to the page, then clicking the “Edit with Thrive Architect” link.
From the Thrive Architect, everything is “point and click / what you see is what you get” editing… basically like editing a Word doc, or Power Point.
You click on the section you want to change, and then you can edit it, add/change it using the the various tools in the Thrive Architect editor.
Finally, you will want to connect the webforms on your site to some Marketing Automation platform.
Important:
If you do not change the webforms, you will NOT receive any of the form submissions, they will all go to our example account, which is not checked and will not reference your site in any way!!!
To change the forms, click on the Thrive Dashboard link, then click on the “Thrive Leads” link.
All of the site’s webforms are in the Thrive Leads.
Each can be integrated with your Marketing Automation platform by editing the form, then clicking on the webform, and changing the integration via Thrive Leads API integration, or by pasting in the HTML your Marketing Automation platform provides.
